Custom Software for the JNIOR

One of the many great features of the INTEG JNIOR connectivity solution is that custom software applications can be added easily to the JNIOR.  By having a Java Virtual Machine (JVM), a standard Java class developed and supplied by INTEG for easily integrating the JNIOR I/O, and a flexible registry system, INTEG is able to quickly and cost-effectively develop custom applications for you.  Custom applications can be developed and tested in as little as 1 or 2 days.

Some of the custom applications developed for our customers have included:

Trane – INTEG developed a custom application for Trane where their corporate business system can transfer a text file to the JNIOR containing a ‘code’ (instructions) for the 8 relay outputs.  The business system uses production information to alert the operator on the current status by changing the status of plant floor lights.  The outputs can be turned on, off, toggled, pulsed or left alone.  When the JNIOR detects a new file, it will open the file and control the outputs according to the instructions.  Development time: 4 hours

DAZ Systems, Inc. – INTEG developed a custom application for DAZ Systems, Inc. and their customer, Niagra Water, where the JNIOR will issue an HTTP Post whenever the inputs change status. The post is sent over the Internet to a user definable web server URL via the JNIOR registry system.   Niagra Water is using an Oracle 9iAS server.  Development time: 2 days

Custom Hardware Development

When selecting a “connectivity solution”, many OEMs cannot find the exact hardware configuration to meet their needs.  INTEG can develop and supply custom versions of its JNIOR product line to meet exact I/O requirements, form factors, packaging and software requirements.  We use our core technology and fit it to meet your needs.  We can also provide compliance testing and certification to meet industry standards using recognized testing labs.

INTEG will develop prototypes for you to test and evaluate.  Once the product has been approved, we then make any final modifications and proceed with manufacturing runs to meet your supply needs.  Based on a supply agreement, we can inventory product for you and supply it according to your needs on a monthly basis, pull basis, Kanban system, etc.
