The
INTEG Process Line Thermal Model (PLTM) supervises and optimizes
the control of continuous annealing furnaces used on Galvanizing
Lines and Annealing & Pickling Lines. The model has been
implemented on new and existing continuous annealing furnaces for
both galvanizing lines and A&P lines.
The Process Line Thermal Model uses mathematical modeling following
first principles to calculate the optimum setpoints for the furnace
and strip line speed and the optimum timing and method for changing
the furnace setpoints and line speed during a product (coil) transition.
The PLTM has been used by a variety of customers, including:
The PLTM is a set of core software routines that must be customized
for each specific process line to take into consideration your
unique operational situation and to integrate with your current
high-level plant computer systems and low-level control systems.
