The JNIOR provides an easy and cost effective way to connect, monitor
and/or control small sets of process signals and to aggregate and
transmit the information over the Ethernet network.
The JNIOR product line consists of a variety of hardware
products.
JNIOR Central Server and Controller
Main controller with core I/O,
including digital inputs, relay outputs, 2 serial ports, and
Sensor Port
The JNIOR central server and controller provides the user with
a very flexible control unit for utilizing Ethernet I/O in a variety
of types of applications. The JNIOR contains the following key
features:
Core compliment of digital I/O
Expandable Plug and Play Analog I/O via the Sensor Port
2 Serial Ports – one is RS232 and one is RS232/RS422/RS485
Built-in software functionality
Advanced logic functionality with Task Manager
Serial-to-Ethernet Server
Web Server, Telnet Server, E-mail
Flexible, user accessible Registry System for setting configuration
parameters
Java Virtual Machine (JVM) for custom applications
2MB of Battery backed RAM with accessible immutable memory blocks
(64k ea.)
2MB of FLASH for storage of configuration and programs
The JNIOR utilizes Plug and Play expansion modules to keep the
cost of the core module low, while allowing for the cost-effective
addition of analog signals at the beginning of a project or in the
future.
The Analog Expansion Modules contain the following key features:
On-board microprocessor for rapid and effective analog signal sampling
Automatic recognition by the main JNIOR controller
Flexibility to utilize a mix of modules
Modules can be used in addition to the JNIOR Sensors
Web-based configuration
Easy integration into the various JNIOR communication methods
The JNIOR Sensor Port has the ability to utilize environmental sensors based
on the 1-Wire® technology from Maxim Dallas. The following
Plug and Play temperature sensors and humidity/temperature sensors
are available from INTEG and are certified to work with the JNIOR. The
sensors provide a cost-effective method for enabling one or multiple
sensor readings for viewing via a web browser and/or integrating
in remote applications.
The JNIOR Sensors contain the following key features:
Utilize Maxim Dallas 1-Wire Technology
Multiple sensors can be attached to each JNIOR
Sensors can be local or remote (within 1-Wire distance guidelines)
Sensors can be used in addition to the JNIOR Analog Expansion Modules
Automatic recognition by the main JNIOR controller
Web-based configuration
Easy integration into the various JNIOR communication methods
Connects to the Sensor Port and is automatically recognized
by the JNIOR software. Handles a temperature range of –20 deg
C to 75 deg C with an accuracy of +/- 0.5 deg C.
Connects to the Sensor Port and is automatically recognized by the
JNIOR software. Submersible and rugged. Handles a temperature range
of –55 deg C to 125 deg C with an accuracy of +/- 2 deg C over
the full range.
Humidity and Temperature Sensor
Connects to the Sensor Port and is automatically recognized by the
JNIOR software. Based on the HIH4000 sensor from Honeywell, it handles
a humidity range of 0 – 100% with an accuracy of +/- 3.5% and
a temperature range of –20 deg C to 75 deg C with an accuracy
of +/- 0.5 deg C over the full range.
