To meet the increasing demand for live data, INTEG’s Ethernet
I/O product line and platform based on the JNIOR, streamlines real-time
data integration, collection and control, making it straightforward,
seamless and cost effective.
INTEG’s JNIOR platform consists of hardware and software
products that fill the need for a small amount of I/O when a PLC, DCS,
control system upgrade or basic I/O modules are too complex, too expensive,
take too much time to implement or just don’t meet your needs. The
JNIOR can be used to enable digital signals, analog signals and serial
devices for a variety of applications saving you time, money and the
risk of modifying legacy systems.
The JNIOR works in a variety of environments and applications, including
industrial automation and IT, where the ‘plant floor’ (equipment,
sensors, etc.) needs to be connected to the ‘enterprise’ (people,
software programs, etc.).
The JNIOR has a number of benefits over other solutions:
Instant Ethernet I/O – with built-in web pages for
viewing and controlling I/O
Expandable I/O – via plug and play analog expansion
modules and sensors
Built-In Functionality – for controlling outputs, sending
e-mail, logging, etc.
Extra Features – Serial-to-Ethernet server, Task Manager
logic program
Easy Integration – via open communication protocols
and software tools
Add MORE Functionality – via packaged programs or your
own Java based programs
The JNIOR is a perfect fit when you need to quickly get a handful
of I/O onto the Ethernet network for monitoring and manual control
via your web browser. Just configure the Ethernet IP address
using the new JNIOR Beacon tool and the JNIOR comes up running, allowing
you to interact with the I/O via a user-friendly web page. With
8 digital inputs which also act as 8 counters, 8 relay outputs, 2
serial ports a Serial-to-Ethernet server, expansion port for
analog modules and sensors, electronic usage meters, alarms, e-mail
system and whole lot more, the JNIOR is capable of being used for
a variety of applications right out of the box.
The JNIOR includes a core compliment of digital I/O, the main controller
and memory. For applications requiring analog signals (4-20 mA, +/- 10 VDC,
RTD), convenient and easy to use Plug and Play expansion modules are available. Up
to 2 modules (either the same or different) can be daisy-chained to the JNIOR
via the Sensor Port. The modules can be added (or removed) while the JNIOR
is powered and the JNIOR will automatically recognize the units and integrate
the additional I/O into its data structure. Configuration of the analog
scaling is done via the built-in JNIOR web page. No additional software
is required.
The JNIOR Sensor Port can also handle temperature and
humidity/temperature sensors. Multiple
sensors can be utilized and automatically recognized by the JNIOR. Data
from the sensors is automatically viewable in the JNIOR web page
as well as integrated into the JNIOR data structure.
With a comprehensive set of of built-in functions, the JNIOR is more
than just an Ethernet I/O module. With built-in web pages for configuration and
monitoring, you can instantly view and control your I/O from anywhere in the
world with no programming required. Built-in functionality includes:
Counters – totalize or integrate
Usage Meters – track input and output usage time
Latched Inputs – software or time-based reset
Pulsed Outputs – as fast as one millisecond
I/O Slaving – outputs slaved to master input or output
on same/different JNIOR
Alarms – based on input transition, counter values, usage
meter values
E-mail Notification – with multiple profiles and no e-mail
server required
With the JNIOR’s built-in functionality, you are never more
than a few clicks away from utilizing all of these great features.
In addition to the standard, built-in features, the JNIOR now comes
with EXTRA features that can be enabled by the user with a click
of the mouse. Included
with each JNIOR, at no extra charge, are:
Task Manager – Allows you to easily add logic to the JNIOR
by setting up Tasks to execute various scheduled or triggered actions
for controlling outputs, sending e-mail, logging data
Serial-to-Ethernet Server – Connect a serial device to
the JNIOR serial port and bi-directional communications can occur
over the Ethernet with the serial device
The JNIOR integrates easily with other applications. Make one or several
communication connections to the JNIOR via the same or different methods. The
JNIOR can be integrated into standard, off-the-shelf applications or your own
custom applications.
Off-the-Shelf Applications
OPC Server – for integrating with OPC compliant packages
like Wonderware, RSView, Iconics, PUMA and others
Modbus/TCP – for integrating with Modbus enabled devices
and software packages
Custom Applications
PC Software Development Kit (PC-SDK) – includes sample
programs to get you started integrating the JNIOR with your PC
based application
Windows API – Windows Library (DLL) for integrating with
VB.NET and other programming languages
JNIOR/TCP Protocol – Easy to use and powerful command structure
to integrate specific JNIOR features with Windows and Linux based
applications
The JNIOR is a more than Ethernet I/O – it’s a controller that allows
you to add even MORE functionality to the standard features, further increasing
the value and capability of the JNIOR platform. Choose from one of our
available add-on software products or develop your own application.
Add-On Software Products
KPI Monitor – Web-based monitoring of Key Performance Indicators
for a single manufacturing machine for tracking equipment availability
and usage
Utility Usage Monitor – Web-based monitoring of utility
meters (gas, electric, etc.) for monitoring instantaneous values
and totalized consumption on an instantaneous, hourly, daily, weekly,
monthly and yearly basis
Data Buffer – Utility that runs on the JNIOR to gather
I/O data and buffer it for controllable transmission of packaged
data packets to Data Collector
Data Collector – Windows service that runs on a PC and
receives data from the Data Buffer application and stores it in
a SQL database or as CSV files
JNIOR Management Server – allows your JNIORs to ‘phone
